Ingredients
- 2 pounds Chicken wings, split at joints, tips removed
- 0.5 cup Flour
- 1 tablespoon Baking powder
- 1 tablespoon Salt
- 0.5 tablespoon Black pepper
- 0.5 tablespoon Garlic powder
- 0.5 tablespoon Paprika
- 1 cup Butter, melted
- 0.5 cup Hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon White vinegar
- 0.5 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup Vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 cup Cooking spray (for baking)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (218°C) if baking, or heat oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C) if frying.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels, then toss in the flour mixture until evenly coated.
- For baking: Place wings on a wire rack over a baking sheet and spray lightly with cooking spray.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and golden brown.
- For frying: Fry wings in hot oil for 8-10 minutes until crispy and fully cooked.
- In a separate bowl, whisk melted butter, hot sauce, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce together.
- Toss cooked wings in the buffalo sauce until well coated.
- Serve immediately with ranch or blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.
